WXBX-FM (Good Time Oldies 95.3) carries an oldies format, as well as Virginia Tech Football and Basketball programming. Playing only the proven hits of the 50's, 60's, and 70's, Good Time Oldies 95.3 is the only Top-40 Oldies Station in Southwest Virginia. While WXBX is licensed in Rural Retreat, VA the offices were relocated to Wytheville several years ago. WXBX first aired in 1998 under the ownership of Three Rivers Media. Since then, WXBX maintains its reputation by being the only station west of Roanoke and east of Bristol to carry the unique Good Time Oldies sound.

Stones, Mama's and Papa's mixed with the Motown sound,
95.3 is the only place to get it west of Roanoke and east of Bristol.
